St Mellion International ResortWelcome to our Crown Golf Academy at the St Mellion International Resort. St Mellion has two 18 hole golf courses, which includes the UK’s first Jack Nicklaus designed ‘signature course’. It has hosted the European Tour with the Benson & Hedges International Open and is home to The English Open in 2011. The Resort has extensive short and long game facilities, with a driving range and a large golf shop. We recognise the image of golf needs to change. It is great that over 15 million people watch The Open and The Masters on television and we know that there are 4 million active golfers, so the question is where are the missing 11 million golfers? There are many perceived barriers to golf, its too expensive, people don’t feel they’ll fit in; it’s not accessible for ladies, families or minority groups… The over-riding aim of Crown Golf Academies is to increase golf participation.
